Mr. Cass Hoyt Long Sr.

Cass Hoyt Long Sr, 66, of Columbus, OH passed away on April 1st, 2021
Cass was born on October 30,1954 to Felix Long and Katherine Lester-Howell in Columbus, Ohio. As a Cass was blessed to have the additional support of Pat Howell, He attended Barry Elementary School and graduated from Marion Franklin High School in 1973. While attending school he was an impeccable football player and participated in Track. In 1977, he graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. After collage, Cass served as a police officer for Columbus, OH in the 12th Precinct. Later, Cass opened his own bail bond business called, American Bail Bonds.
Cass is survived by his sister, Laura Hughes, his six wonderful children Danny (Sarah) Dion, Cass H. (Amanda) Long, Ian Long, Dominic, Cory Long and Brittney Long. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Charles “Chuck” Long, Larry Lee, Dennis Long, Kenny Long and his sister Helen “Cookie” Lester.
He will always be remembered for his affectious laugh, his appetite that only a king could have, and his notorious ability of taking a nap at any given time. He truly lived up to his nickname “Old Man.” We love you Pops and you will truly be missed.

Public Visitation Walk Through 10:00 AM and Private Family Funeral Service 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
