Mr. John A. Gore

Our loved one, John Anthony Gore, departed this life at the age of 48 on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.  John, AKA “Johnny G”, was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, primarily on the north end.

After graduating from Fort Hayes High School, he went on to serve 3.5 years in the United States Marine Corps. Afterward, John became a jack of all trades, working a variety of skilled labor jobs around the city. John knew no strangers! He lit up the room upon entering it. He had a fun and magnetic personality, even when he was at his lowest. He was always trying to encourage others,
and he spoke positively about traveling and getting more out of life. Nonetheless, his proudest achievement was being a dad!

Precious memories will forever be cherished by his mother, Norma Jean Gore; his beloved and beautiful daughters, Jayden (14) and Justice Gore (10). He also leaves behind a legacy of unforgettable memories with wife, Jamie Hewitt-Gore; companion, Crystal Brown; aunt, Joann (Harvey) Harris; uncles, Calvin Brown Sr., William (Donella) Hawthorne Jr.; nephews, Antoyne White, Alex White, Kingston Laster, Pete White, Deondre White, and Malik White; niece, Heaven Whiteand a multitude of loving cousins and other relatives near and far; bonus kids, Toni Clark, Isabel and Ryan Volosky; big brother-in-Love, Mark Small; childhood best friend, James Wynn.

John was preceded in death by his father, Charles Gore; sister, Cassandra White-Laster; brother, Jerry (Junebug) White.
