Leopoldo Leon Dunlap, a beloved husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away on November 7, 2023, in Columbus, OH, at the age of 43. Born on November 23, 1979, in Toledo, OH, Leopoldo touched the lives of many with his kind heart and infectious laughter.
Leopoldo was a devoted family man, finding immense joy in the company of his wife, Kinya, and their children. His daughters, Leonshai Dunlap, Amarre Tyler, and JaNay Tyler, were his pride and joy. Leopoldo also adored his son, Kayden Tyler, and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, Nylani Young, Journie Franklin, Cashmeire Young, and Jormani Young. He held a special bond with his sisters, Shannon Dunlap and Sandra Hardy, as well as his brother, Vincent Hardy, 19 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leopoldo & Sadie Dunlap.
In his leisure time, Leopoldo had a remarkable appetite for knowledge. He could often be found engrossed in the Discovery Channel, where he indulged his curiosity on various subjects, including aliens and UFOs. He had an innate desire to learn and expand his horizons. Additionally, tending to his yard and admiring old school cars filled his heart with contentment.
Leopoldo’s dedication was prevalent through his occupation as a Fork Lift Operator for Bath & Body Works in the warehouse industry. He approached his work with sincerity and professionalism, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and friends.
A loving and compassionate soul, Leopoldo will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to attend the upcoming services to celebrate his life and honor his memory.
