Nyomi Stephens

Nyomi Stephens was born on June 22, 1999 in Columbus, Ohio. She is the beloved daughter of Clive and Kimberly Stephens and the older Sister to Clive Jr. and Elijah “Eli” Stephens. In
Columbus she attended elementary school and completed school at Watkins Middle and Watkins Memorial High School in Pataskala, Ohio. She enjoyed and spent most of her time with her friend group and participated in the Drama Club, performing in the annual musical all four years.

Nyomi was accepted into The Ohio State University beginning the Fall Semester of 2017. She successfully completed her freshman, sophomore, and junior years at OSU majoring in Medical
Anthropology (minor Epidemiology). She was truly passionate about her major and the COVID-19 pandemic was related to her field of study. She also held the office of Treasurer for a school
club.

While attending The Ohio State University, Nyomi’s first job was as an Office Assistant (OA) in her own freshman dorm. Her sophomore year she was a Tele-counselor recruiting future Buckeyes, and currently is a Patient Care Associate (PCA) at the James Cancer Hospital. At work she is described as a wonderful person, employee, and peer. Her patients loved her smiling face. She is sweet and kind.

She loves God, was a member of Columbus Christian Center, and was saved at age 11. Learning each day about His word and how He would show favor on her life. She loved concerts and to travel with family or friends, binge watch anime with her brother, and listen to music. Her friends knew her as their rock and the perfect person to call for a laugh and a good talk. Always bubbly and always the voice of reason, Nyomi will be sorely missed and warmly celebrated as her memory lives on.

Nyomi is preceded in death by Grandmothers Velma Deloris Stephens and Annie Inez Hall and Grandfather James Fred Hall. Nyomi will forever be remember by her Grandparents, Parents,
Brothers, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, along with countless other family and friends who were blessed to know her.
