Our hearts were heavy as we said goodbye to our beloved Robert (Bob) Paul Williams. Preceded in death by Barbara Jean Wilson (Mother) and Willie Porter (Father).
Robert was a cherished husband, loving Father, and a respected member of the community. He peacefully passed away surrounded by his family.
He leaves to cherish his loving wife, Teressa Knox-Williams; daughter, Sierra Williams; stepdaughter, Preciouus Knox of Spring, Texas; 2 sisters, Athena Williams-Spratt, Ellen Wilson; brother, Lawrence (Bernadette) Wilson; uncle, Paul Willams; 6 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Telisa Knox of Memphis, TN and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends and his beloved dog, Sapphire.
Robert was a man of many accomplishments. He earned his graduate equivalency degree. He also was a skilled Journeyman Painter to which led to making his mark as a successful entrepreneur. Robert (Bob), a devoted patriot who proudly served in the Army, Navy, and Marines. Robert’s unwavering commitment, courage, and camaraderie will be forever remembered. He received numerous accommodations as follows: The National Defense Service Medal, Sharp Shooter (M16) for Army, in the Navy he received a Vietnam Service Medal, Basic Parachuter Good Conduct Medal-M and Unit Citation Good Conduct Medal and in the Marines, he received Medal of Good Conduct. His favorite branch of the Military was his time served in the Marines which he ended his military career with an Honorable Discharge from all 3 branches of the Military. (HOOAH)!!!
He had a big personality and colorful character, he enjoyed music, skating, cooking, sports and movies.
Visitation 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.).
Interment at Dayton National Cemetery.
