Pansy Thurmond

The world was blessed with Pansy C. Brown who was born in Bluefield West Virginia to James and Daisy Brown on June 13, 1931. Her sunset was on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Kobacker Hall Ohio Health Hospice.

Pansy Thurmond received Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of the Good Samaritan Baptist Church. She could often be found doing the work of an evangelist. She started the Non-Denominational Community Choir. Under her leadership, direction, and discipline the choir ministered at parks, recreation centers, nursing facilities, veterans hospitals.

Pansy had a special love for her pet monkey, buttons and her pot-belly pig, piggy. Pansy Thurmond was an avid bowler. She loved people and never met a stranger.

Pansy was comical, witty, a great speaker and motivator and passionate about everything she put her mind and hands to. She touched many lives and led many people to accept Christ as their personal Savior. Pansy was often involved in her community and loved young people. She played races and games with the children in the community one evening until 1 in the morning.
