As the eldest brother of the family Michael was looked up to and admired, he cherished his role and was a living example of kindness for his loved ones who respected him and valued his wise counsel even at a young age, his voice was always the voice of reason for his family.

His love for people was a gift from God and he was blessed to share his gifts where he was previously employed at the Faith Mission Mens Shelter in Columbus Ohio, during his time there he was able to minister and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Michael shared the good news everywhere he went and was a founding member of the Temple of Faith under the pastorate of Bishop Roger James Hairston Sr. He helped to organize the church and was ordained to pastorate by Bishop Roger J. Hairston Sr. He served faithfully as their first Assistant Pastor until he was called to Pastor the Calhoun Memorial Temple Fire Baptized Inc, where he was installed by Bishop Emily Mader on September 9th, 2009. Elder Nesbitt was a faithful committed Pastor to his church and the broader community, he often spent his time helping to meet the needs of others who were often drawn to his ministry.
