Paul Dexter Chapman Sr.

Paul Dexter Chapman Sr., born September 7, 1965 and on August 21, 2017, surrounded by his family, he entered into God’s loving arms.

Paul was employed as a Pharmaceutical Technician for West-Ward Pharmaceutical (formerly Roxanne Labs). Paul was a faithful member of the St. James Biblical Christian Baptist Church; where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board, Trustee, Financial Secretary, member of the Executive Board, member of the Male Chorus, Musician, Sunday School Teacher, and Usher.

Outside of his many duties at church, Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, being a positive and supportive role model to the youth, watching sports and going to the movies with his son PJ, listening to jazz music, and going to the shooting range.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Minnie Chapman; sister, Nancy Mayhew-Brown; nephew, Kevin Early; and father in law, Joseph H. Jenkins, Sr.

He leaves to mourn his passing with his wife of 28 years, Angela K. Chapman; son, Paul D. Chapman Jr.; special daughter, Jazma S. Carter; mother in law, Betty Jenkins; brother in law, Joseph (Delicia) Jenkins Jr.; sister in law, Sheila Jenkins; grandson, Yisrael Joseph Chapman; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, co-workers, and church family.

We will never forget him singing “On my way home”, “Jordan River”, “God is not Dead”, “Something has got a hold of me” and “have a little talk with Jesus”.

Well done Good and Faithful servant, WELL DONE!!
