Paul R. Crosby

Sunrise December 26, 1931 Sunset October 5, 2022 at age 90, Paul left this world on a bright sunny day to be with the lord and his family in heaven.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Louise Crosby and his

grandfather John Oliver Crosby, Father Roy Maddox and Mother Ursell Crosby, his brother Ben Crosby, and his beloved wife Maxine (Brothers) Crosby.

Paul had a long career with the military, first with the Navy then with the Air Force where he served in Vietnam and retired in 1971. He had a multitude of jobs in his long life: He worked at the radio station WVKO, then at Rockwell and at the National Historical

Society. Paul went to Theology school where he became a Baptist Minister and was first a deacon then a pastor at Mt Gerizim Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory his two stepdaughters Carmen E. Brothers and Valerie (Brothers) Jennings, his oldest son Michael (Veronica) Crosby and daughter Nina Keeton and his youngest son

Clayton R. Crosby. He leaves 9 grandchildren: Clayton (Geena) Crosby II, Mia Robertson, Kaled Wilson, Kameron Smith, Imani Crosby, Jalen Crosby, Alexis Crosby, Cole Crosby, and Roman Crosby and 3 great grandchildren, Christopher Robertson, Azi Robertson and Carter Crosby and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

He left a good and strong mark on this world. He will be missed by many.

 

 

 

 

 

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Mt. Gerizim Baptist Church, 2633 Mock Rd.

Interment at Glen Rest.
