Pearline Lindsay, 78, transitioned this life on April 16, 2021 at MedCentral Hospital Mansfield. Pearline was born on November 20, 1942 in Lula, MS to Chesterfield Carter Sr. and Carrie Lee Wortham. She moved to Mansfield when she was 17. She was a lifelong member of Providence Baptist Church and retired from Therm-O-Disc in 2005 after 35 years of dedicated service. She loved spending time with her family, watching soap operas and gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clint Lindsay; brothers, Raymond Ward, Henry Wortham Jr, O D Wortham, James Wortham, and Thurman Carter and sisters Loraine Carter Williams and Loistean Carter Jackson; Son-in-law Vernon Bond; Daughter-in-law Wendy Lindsay and granddaughter Alexzandria R. Lindsay.
Pearline is survived by daughter Vernessa Lindsay-Bond; sons Ellery Lindsay, George Lindsay and Jay (Belinda) Lindsay; brothers, Willie (Patricia) Martin, Thomas (Diane) Rooks, Chesterfield (Sarah) Carter Jr., Willie (Catherine) Wortham, Roosevelt Wortham, W J Wortham; and sisters, Irene Johnson, Alverta Carter-Williams, Dorothy Campbell, Patricia (Norvel) Patterson, Gertrude Tate, Drucilla (Leslie) Robinson, and Minnie Johns (Mark),13 grandchildren: 12 great grandchildren; Special friend Linda Knackstade; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 10:00 AM and Private Family Funeral 11:00 AM at Providence Baptist Church 112 W. 6th St. Interment at Mansfield Cemetery.
