Peggy L. Cleveland

Peggy Cleveland was born to the late John C. (Ace) and Francis Winbush Jones on April 6, 1951. She departed this life on April 13, 2021 at Mt Carmel East Hospital.

Peggy attended the Columbus City Schools. She was a devoted housewife and babysat for many families. She loved to cook and her sweet potato pies and cornbread dressing were her signature. She also modeled hats in her younger days.

Peggy was a faithful member of Rehoboth Temple Church of God and Christ. She sang in the Young Peoples Choir.

Peggy leaves to cherish her memories, Daughter, Nina Jones; Son, Clarence (Tonya) Wagner; Sister, Joan Reynolds; Grandson, Javon Jones and Ravon Ingram; Great-grandchildren, Raylynn and Roslyn Ingram, Le’Ana and Javontea Jones, Destiny and Madison Ingram, Londyn Wagner; Special friend, Odell Clodfelter; Nieces and Nephews, Trevon Robinson, Terrell Reynolds, Tammie Truitt, Dawn Jones, JaShawn Doss and John C. Jones.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, sibling, Don, Phyllis and Furman Jones and Granddaughter, Mikayla Wagner.

Private Visitation 10:00 AM and Private Funeral Service 11:00 AM Thursday, April 22, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
