Raymond Tucker

Raymond Tucker, born November 23, 1940, departed this life on November 19, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital following a short illness.

Raymond attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from Central High School. He retired from Bexley Kosher Foods, formerly Martins Kosher Foods, after 45 years of dedicated service.

Raymond was preceded in death by his first wife Janice Howell-Tucker. From this union three children were born: sons Raymond Lamont Tucker (deceased), Laurence Tucker, and daughter Nicole Tucker. He was also preceded in death by parents Willie Sr. and Lillie Tucker; stepmother Louise Tucker; sister Sara Louise Tucker; and brother Tommy L. Tucker.

He is survived by wife Cheryl; stepchildren Roschelle (Taalib) Richardson, Chermae Morris and Isaven Morris; grandchildren Kiera, Katherine, Roman, Marina, Kaleah, Karissa, Alaunya,, Nia, and Omar; brother Willie (Phyllis) Tucker; sisters Luevada Mahone and Cynthia (Bennie) Franks; sister-in-law Patricia Tucker-Welch; daughters-in-law Carolyn Tucker and Rina Tucker and a host of loving relatives and friends.

Raymond, affectionately referred to as Papa Bear by his grandchildren, will be greatly missed by his family and many friends for his smile, kindness and loving manner.
