Vibrantly known as Rhonda L. Madison, she was born on November 7, 1956 in Charleston, WV. Rhonda went home to be with the Lord on January 14, 2024 in Columbus, Ohio.
Rhonda graduated from East High School where she was an honor student and a member of JROTC. Rhonda was a very accomplished, ambitious and educated woman of God. She also graduated from the University of Colorado with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. She served as spokesperson on the Columbus NAACP Board where she went to bat for anyone she believed was treated poorly or in an unjust manner. Rhonda had one son and one daughter.
Ms. Madison was preceded in death by her parents, Joann Madison and Booker T. Goodwin; son, Dwayne Madison; sisters, Sharon Madison, Effie Sheers, Margaret Goodwin; brothers, Charles Madison, Hudson Goodwin and Willie Goodwin.
Rhonda is survived by her daughter, Staci Madison; grandchildren, Destini Madison, Dwayne Bynes, Emmett Madison, Kamaria’ Madison, and Adrema Madison; special sisters, Yvonne Saunders, Brenda Dooky, Aggie Moorer, Ida Brown, Darlene Tanner; brothers, Dwayne Madison, Sr., and Jeff Madison; best friends, Margaret Conner, Denise Shouse, Ruthann Butts and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Friday, January 26, 2024 at First Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 470 E. Welch Ave.
Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
