Robert Theodore ”Peaches” Belle was born March 31, 1938 Springfield, Ohio to Olies and Willie Mae Brickley Belle. He was a Springfield High Graduate. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 17 years, he joined at an early age under Reverand W.E Richardson. He was a member of the Mt.Zion male chorus, helped to form the Junior Jubilee Chorus, and was a member of the trustee and finance board. Robert was a member of Champion Lodge #15 , member of the Second Degree Consistory #26 (32 degree) Troy Ohio, member of AKBAR temple shrine #44, and a member of the Elks George P. Dorsen 1629. He was also a member of the Right to Life Board and the Rose Club in which he specialized in growing Peace and Tea Roses. Robert also participated in the men’s Emmaus walk #1629 and was a honorary member of Chauffeurs and Maids club. He was the first African American to build a house on Shrine Road from the ground up in 1972. He volunteered for 10 years with the Women’s Network in New Carlise. Robert worked at Elderly United, Plasco Safety Products for 15 year, Cooper Energy, Victory Lane Bowling, Food Service at Wittenberg University, and Davis Glove Company. Robert leaves to cherish his memory; three brothers, Richard Belle and Donald Belle (Springfield ,Ohio,) Melvin Belle ( Los Angeles, California). One sister LaVonda Belle (Springfield ,Ohio). Host of nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. He is preceded in death parents Olies and Willie Mae Belle, siblings :James Belle, Otis J. Belle, William C. Belle, Mildred January, Hazel Belle, Mary L. Butler, and Saundra Sanford.
