Robert Earl Booth

Robert Earl Booth was a native of Steubenville, OH, born on October 5, 1947, the second youngest of four children of Curtis Fluker and Anna (Williams) Fluker.

Booth spent his childhood in Steubenville, where he displayed great athleticism in football, basketball, baseball, and track at Steubenville “Big Red” High School. After seeing the beautiful stride, he had while running, many compared him to an American Thoroughbred racehorse’s agility. His record-breaking victories in track gained him the name, Black Beauty.

After a short while, he moved to San Francisco, where he studied Criminology at San Francisco Community College Police Department. Excelling in what he loved, Robert decided to enlist in the United States Army. He was a Military Police Officer stationed at Ft McClelland in Anniston, AL. During this time, he married Sarah Booth. Together they would have four children.

Serving his country for 21-years, Robert Booth retired from the US Army as a Decorated Sergeant First Class. He earned many awards and metals including an Army Service Ribbon, Bronze Service Star, Army Achievement and National Defense Service Medal. Booth would use his military training along with his enthusiasm for law enforcement to join DSCC, in Columbus, Ohio as a Military Police Officer in 1995. Throughout this time, he fell in love with Ruth Williams. To this union he had two children.
Robert was a magnetic man who loved to shop and took pride in being a sharp dresser. He loved his family and took his role as a provider very seriously.
