Robert Lee Chislom

Robert Lee Chislom was born on October 30, 1938 to the late Lenord and Mary Alice Chislom in Cedartown, GA.

Robert attended school in Cedartown, GA. and graduated there. His family moved to Columbus, Robert affectionately called “Chiz” began work with E.E Ward Moving and retired after 50+ years of service. Even after his retirement, he continued to go to work until he was told that he could not come back.

He was a funny loving person and loved to eat. He was a gentle giant. Robert loved working on the yard, cutting the grass, trimming, and anything else he thought needed done. He also enjoyed working on his cars, he would always be washing and polishing them. He was always cleaning something. If you used an ashtray, before you were finished he was headed to wash it and put it back down.

Robert is preceded in death by parents Lenord and Mary Alice, and wife Norma Chislom.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory; sons Ronald Combs Sr. and Timothy Combs, brothers in law Jeremiah (Cindy) Thomas, James Thomas, and Kenneth (Bernice) Hayes, sister in law Shirley Wright, grandchildren Ronald, Ronaldo and Ornetta Parker, Romeo Combs, Deron, Cameron, and DeSheena Long, also a host of nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Visitation 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM Monday, May 4, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave. Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
