Roberta Ray

Roberta Ray was born December 4, 1936 in Barlow Bend, AL, to the late Issac Davis and Hattie Cook King, in Barlow Bend, AL.

 Roberta moved to Lynch, KY with her mother at an early age. She met and married Frank Ray, Sr. They had one son, Frank Ray, Jr., who preceded her in death.

Roberta was a faithful member at Macedonia Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Robert Henry, where she served on the Usher Board until her health began to fail.

Roberta departed this life on April 10, 2015.

Roberta leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth (Frank) Arthur, Ella (Willie) Ray-Hughley, Yvonnia Ray all of Columbus, OH. Two sons, William Greene, Pontiac, MI and Gary Amos, Killeen, TX. Eight grandchildren, William Cockrel, Latoya Ray, Joshua Ray, Willie Hughley, Malik Amos, Alexis Amos, Katrina Ray, and Frank Ray, Jr. Three great grandchildren, Clara Cockrel, Lelana Ray, and Autumn Ray. Two brothers, Frank (Deloise) King of Lynch, KY and Edward Davis of Wichita Fall, TX, and one sister, Sallie Null Bringham, AL, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00 noon Wednesday April 15, 2015 at New Faith Baptist Church of Christ 955 Oak St.  Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
