Roberta Lee Vickers-Brown, affectionately known as "Bert," or “Berta” was born in Mansfield, Ohio on October 8, 1945 and passed away on May 21, 2024 at the age of 79 in Houston, Texas.
Roberta lived a life characterized by her loving nature and exceptional sense of humor. Her children, whom she adored above all, brought her immeasurable happiness and pride.
Roberta is preceded in death by her parents, William Lomax Vickers and Mattie Bess Vickers; her daughter, Heather Danielle Vickers; as well her siblings, William Walter Vickers, Donald Lomax Vickers and Anita Everne Michelle Vickers.
Roberta is survived by her children, Colleen Elizabeth Vickers, Yvette Susanne Vickers, Shawn Christopher Matthew Vickers, Ayesha Samantha Syetta Nicole Brown, and Jamison Skyler Sterling Armond Vickers; niece, Shaundra C. Winkfield; and her nephews, Michael D. Vickers, Joseph Winkfield and Vincent Vickers. As well as host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A woman of great affection and warmth, Roberta’s presence was a comfort to all who knew her. Her laughter was a familiar and cherished sound to her family and friends, and her caring ways will be deeply missed.
In remembrance of Roberta, let us honor the legacy of love and joy she leaves behind. Her memory will forever be a beacon of the love and laughter she spread so generously throughout her life.
