Rose Marie Underdown

Rose Marie Underdown, age 85. Sunrise December 6, 1930 in Birmingham, Al and Sunset August 4, 2016 in Columbus, OH.

Marie, mom, grandmom was a truly a virtuous, women of valor. She was a strong, competent, and loyal to her family, those whom she cared and service. Marie and Rev. Guy W. Underdown Sr. were married for over 50 years, the women of one husband. She was dependable, consistent, watchful, and unbreakable when tested and hard working for the sake of her family. Before, employed by The State of Ohio, where she worked as a Patient Care Advocate and after her retirement, she could always be found at home caring for her family. Marie was the ideal wife and mother, who open her doors to countless others in the community.

Marie was a God fearing humble women who attended several churches in the Columbus area where her husband served as assist pastor. When her health permitted, she attended Oakley Full Gospel Baptist Church along side of her daughter.

Marie was Preceded in death by her parents Lillie Bell and Raymond Bennett Sr., husband of over 50 years Rev. Guy W. Underdown Sr., William Underdown, and bother Raymond Bennett Jr.,

Left to cherish her memory, daughter Ellen Jean Clark, sons Lonnell (Joyce) Bennett, Guy W. Underdown Jr., Anthony E. Underdown Sr., Minister Donell (Shirley) Muhammad, and Timothy (Connie) Underdown, sisters Bobbie Gentry and Jacqueline Bennett, 19 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
