Columbus, Ohio - Mrs. Rosie Scott Jones, 73, passed away at her home on June 30, 2024.

Born and raised in Columbus, Rosie attended Columbus Public Schools before dedicating her career to Jaycee Arms until retirement. Above all, Rosie was a devoted wife and mother. Her family meant the world to her especially her grandchildren, Trayvion, Shanika, Bryce, Terrell, Myeisha, Trent, and Jahnari, and her 12 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

Rosie was a pillar of faith at Springhill Baptist Church, where she actively sang in the choir sharing her love for music and the Lord. Rosie's passions extended beyond the church walls, she loved her flowers and plants. Cherished family gatherings, and reveled in playful competition during Bid Wiz and Spades games with her siblings. Rosie enjoyed listening to music, shopping, fishing and relaxing on her front porch, All that knew her, knew she was not one to hold her tongue, if it was on her mind, it was expressed.

Rosie is survived by her husband, Geary Nelson; sons, Terrance Miller (Venica Miller) and Howard Terrell Scott (Joi Graham); siblings, Tina McCormick, Dorothy Black, and Willie Miller (Terri Miller); and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Rosie was predeceased by her parents, Willie Miller and Tina Mae Patrick; son, Eddie Tornodous Scott; and brothers, John E. Hatchett and Ager Simpson.

Rosie's guidance, laughter, and life lessons will be deeply missed by her loving family and all who knew her.
