Sandra K. Jackson

April 3, 1958 — September 9, 2024

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (2 Timothy 4:7)

Sandra Kay Jackson was born on April 3, 1958, in Harpersville, Alabama to the late Walter and Mary Lee (Kennedy) Reynolds, of Praco, Alabama. Sandra was the seventh child of twelve children.

She was raised in a loving home and was very close to her siblings. On Monday, September 9, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones, the gentle spirit of Sandra Kay Jackson went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sandra met the late Alan D. Jackson Sr. at Isabelle Ridgeway Nursing Home where they were both employed. Alan and Sandra were married on March 26, 1977, and their union was blessed with three children and five grandchildren. Sandra’s life was devoted to her children and grandchildren in an effort to keep them on the right path. Sandra had a spirit of giving and she loved helping those in need. She always supported her family, being there whenever they needed her and her love for her siblings and the rest of her family was unconditional. Sandra was a well-educated woman. She graduated from East High School in 1977 and earned her bachelor’s degree from Devry Institute of Technology in March 1991. She spent more than 25 years working at CNA Insurance, previously known as Continental Insurance. In April 2021, she retired after 20 years at Utica National Insurance Company.

Sandra had a great sense of humor, and her smile always lit up the room. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching Family Feud and old westerns. Sandra was a phenomenal cook, she loved seeing her family full and happy. She always looked forward to the holidays because it meant making special meals for the family.

Sandra will be remembered for her strength, hard work, love for her family, and her devotion to God. Sandra loved the Lord and accepted Him as her personal Savior at a young age. She was a cherished member of the Greater Ebenezer Cathedral of Praise Church under the leadership of Bishop William C. Reynolds, where she served as the Superintendent of Sunday School. She served her church faithfully until her health began to decline. In addition to her local church, she enjoyed listening to the weekly broadcasts from Greater Mt. Carmel Deliverance Ministries where her sister, Dr. Carolyn Frasier, is the Pastor.

Sandra was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alan D. Jackson Sr.; father, Walter Reynolds; mother, Mary Lee Reynolds; brother, Arnold Dwight Reynolds; sister, Alice Reynolds; and two brothers-in-law, Bishop Harold Frasier Sr. and Isaac Jackson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons, Alan D. Jackson Jr. and Brandon M. Jackson Sr.; one daughter, Nicole Leann Jackson; five grandchildren, Tre’ Jackson, Juan James, Brandon Jackson II, Braylon Jackson and Sarah Smith; seven sisters, Pearlie Flowers of Middletown, Delaware, Pastor Dr. Carolyn Frasier of Queens, N.Y., Linda Reynolds, Vanessa King, Debbie (Joseph) Brooks, Shirley (Mark) Simpson and Kathryn Siddiq; and two brothers, Kenneth (Michelle) Reynolds and Darron Reynolds, all of Columbus, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Valerie Jackson, Deauntay Jackson, Elona Jackson; and brothers-in-law, Stephon D.
