Shadell “Nae Nae” Malone

Shadell Raynae Malone, age 35, affectionately known as “Nae”, passed away on February 15, 2023. She was born October 2, 1987 in Columbus, OH to her loving parents Michelle Malone and Melvin Harrington. She is preceded in death by Grandfather, Donald Harrington and Grandmother, Sheryl Malone.

Shadell graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 2006 where she enjoyed her high school years playing volleyball, being a cheerleader, being a member of the drill team, basketball team, and softball team.

Shadell has always had a love for children and after high school began her career in childcare. While working in childcare she became a devoted mother to Ahmanii. She was always looking for the next fun activity to create a lasting memory with Manii, her nephews, little cousins and the kids at the daycare, where she worked for over 10 years.

Shadell decided to make a career change, despite working in childcare for many years. She became a Correctional Officer at Corrections Reception Center/ Orient Correctional Institution where she worked till the time of her death.

Shadell is survived by her daughter, Ahmanii Malone-Thompson; mother, Michelle Malone; father, Melvin (Cheriese) Harrington; grandfather, Henry Malone; grandmothers, Beverly Jennings and Doris Harrington;  great grandmother, Lois White; sisters, Shamya Conner and Charle Harrington; brothers, Michael (Kayla) Malone, Charlton Harrington, and  Darien Harrington-Turner; aunts, Tonya (Kenneth) Harshaw, Serrina Malone, Shanda Hayes, Delisa (Peter) Ferguson, and Sherell White; uncle, Rashayn Hayes; nephews, Michael Malone, Jr. and Malachi Malone; brother in love, Romeo Thomas; sister in love, Juliet Thomas; dad, Carl Thomas; and a host of  family and friends.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Monday, February 27, 2023 at Union Tabernacle of God, 1345 Atcheson St

Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
