Sharon Nitro Green

On February 21, 2025, Sharon Green (Woosley) transitioned peacefully to her eternal home. Today we celebrate our mother and grandmother’s life and legacy.

To know her was an invitation to a party. She had so much wit. Sharon came from humble beginnings. She wore many hats as a homemaker, facing many obstacles along the way. With those life experiences she always provided nuggets of wisdom. She was an amazing gardener, enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, fishing, cooking, retail therapy and was an animal lover. 

Sharon’s true passion was to be there for anyone going through challenging times. She was always giving her last to relieve the burden of others. She was a devoted mother and always had a soft spot for her grandchildren,

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Lundy Woosley Sr. and Dora C. Miller (Woosley), sister, Dorothy (Darrel) Wilson, and daughter, Whitney Dean. She leaves to cherish her memory sisters, Shirley (Donald) Mills, Geraldine Thompson, Rosemary (Harry) Knapp, Betty (Jim) Wishon, brothers, Lundy (Marcia) Woosley Jr., Billy Woosley, Randall Woosley; children, Charles Woosley, Angela (Robert) Hemphill, Lynitra Chambers, grandchildren, Brandon Kohsman, Lavansea Green, MyAnjel Parks, Jalynne Chambers, Graham Williams, Jamya Chambers and Giselle Williams, great grandchildren, Joseph Green and Landon Green.
