Sherri Lynn Bush

Sherri Lynn Denny Bush May 19, 1955 -October 26, 2023 was born in Columbus, Ohio to the parentage of Virginia L. and Robert L. Denny which preceded her in death.

Family members that preceded her in death includes Brothers, Eddie L. Robinson and Willie L (Boogaloo) Robinson, Nephews, Michael Taiwan Denny, Javon Truly, and Marcus Holder.

Sherri graduated from South High School in Columbus, OH. and later went on to obtain her Associate’s degree in Data Entry. Sherri worked various jobs throughout her life, but her primary role was a Mom. Sherri was formerly married to Anthony Bush for 26 years. Sherri loved all her children but had such a special bond with all of her grandchildren where oftentimes she didn’t know their real names because each one of them had their own nickname from “Maw-Maw” at birth. She cherished the special bond she created with each grandchild and looked forward to sneaking them money when no one was looking.

Sherri absolutely loved to entertain people and was considered by many as the “Life of the Party”. Everybody loved and spoke so highly about her potato salad. She enjoyed dancing, oftentimes she was offbeat singing, snapping and stomping her feet. She loved to decorate every holiday and never forgot to give each grandchild a gift under the tree. Keivon recalled his favorite memory of Maw-Maw to say, “I remember when she took me downtown for Christmas and bought me snacks and took pictures and we had a good time” So, often the Sherri we all knew and came to love was also a “firecracker” who was outspoken and had no problem telling anyone how she felt. Her outspoken quality often taught us all a sense of fearlessness and tenacity that we can cherish and remember each day.

She also Left to cherish her memory Anthony A. Bush, Ex-Husband. Sons, Mark M. (Joanna) Denny, Brandon Bush, Anthony A. Bush Jr. (Stepson); Daughters, LaDasha Denny, Anthonia Bush, Brandi Bush, and Cheri Bush; Sisters, Rozalind (Robert) Broomfield, Teri Watson, and Tonya (Douglas) Rivers-Mullins, and Brother Robert G.
