**Obituary for Stefan Gee Sowell**
With heavy hearts, Stefan Gee Sowell, made his peaceful transition on February 4, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on July 5, 1970, in Columbus, OH, Stefan's journey through life was marked by his incredible athleticism, undying love for family, and a deep passion for sports, especially the Los Angeles Lakers.
Stefan graduated from North High School, where his talents on the football field began to shine. He continued to pursue his dreams at Fergus Falls Community College in Minnesota, where he not only excelled academically but also showcased his athletic abilities in college football. While he aspired to reach the NFL, it was his spirit and determination that left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Stefan had a love for fishing on Buckeye Lake.
Throughout his life, Stefan spent many fulfilling years working as a laborer in the warehouse industry at Anchor Hocking. Although his health began to decline over the years, his love for his family and friends remained unwavering. Stefan cherished the time he spent with his loved ones, especially his son, Malik Brock, and his grandchildren, Kai and Jaeden. He is also survived by his dedicated parents, Joseph and Deborah Sowell, and his brother, Shawn Sowell, along with a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. Stefan was very close to his special cousin Barry Sowell.
Though Stefan has left this world, his legacy of resilience, love, and the joy for life will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in peace, and may we celebrate the life he lived.
