Steven Hudson

Steven Hudson was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on August 7, 1959, to the late Silas Hudson Sr. and Harriet Hudson. He was the youngest of six children. He departed this life after a brief illness on Friday, October 25, 2024.

Steven was baptized at Greater Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Linden, New Jersey. He attended the Linden Public School system and played on the varsity baseball and basketball teams. He moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1976 and graduated from Lakewood High School in 1977. After graduating high school, he worked as a respiratory therapist at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. He moved to New Jersey and worked as a respiratory therapist at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield and St. Peter’s Hospital, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Steven relocated to Reynoldsburg, Ohio and continued working as a respiratory therapist at Convalarium of Dublin Health Care Facility and Alurels of Walden Park Health Care Facility. When Steven wasn’t working, enjoyed spending time with his daughter Zoey. Chuckie Cheese was their favorite. Steven was also a Cincinnati Bengal’s fan.

Steven was predeceased by his father, Silas Hudson Sr., his mother, Harriet Hudson; two brothers, Richard and Lamont Hudson (St. Petersburg, FL). 

Steven leaves to cherish him in memory, two daughters Kiye Rudolph (Terrance) of Orlando, Fl and Zoey Hudson of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; three grandchildren Sakiya, James, and Shailan; two sisters, Linda Starks of Somerset, NJ and Pamela Hudson of St. Petersburg, Fl; one brother, Silas Hudson Jr. (Nicole) of Tampa, Florida; one sister-in-law, Janie Hudson of Conyers, GA and a host of relatives and friends.
