Stewart L. Matthews

Stewart Matthews departed this life on January 3, 2023. He was born on January 28, 1972, in Columbus, Ohio where he graduated from West High School.

Stewart was baptized at Abundant Love Tabernacle by Pastor Robert Taylor.

Stewart was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, who also enjoyed working on his vehicles, documentaries, and political history. Most of all Stewart loved and adored his 25 grandchildren.

Stewart is preceded in death by his stepmother Barbara Washington.

Stewart is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Bobbi Matthews; mother, Bobbi Banks; father, Nathaniel Washington; daughter, TaQuilla (Marvin) Sheppard, Jocelyn (Devon) Tolliver, Mia Johnson, Tia (Robert Flack), KrystylMone (Eric) Heller; sons, Tye”Juan (Caitlin) Johnson, Troy Anthony (Tracy) Johnson; sisters, Lavetta (Kevin) King, Faye Raney, Natalie (Albert) Williams; brothers, Stephen Matthews, Dr. L. Marshall (Tonja) Washington, Dr. Nathaniel (Liza) Washington along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
