Terence Scott Lofton, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2024, in Savannah, GA. He was born on June 18, 1965, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Harrison Jr. and Mattie Lofton. He attended Columbus Public Schools, graduating from Eastmoor High School in 1983. As an athlete at Eastmoor, Terence played football and was a proud Warrior who was highly regarded as "Moose" on the field.Terence pursued higher education at Hartnell College in Salinas, California, and returned to Columbus to attend TEC Technical College, where he studied culinary arts. Terence, the second youngest of seven sons, was a proud father and a man with an extraordinary hustle.In later years, Terence settled in Savannah, Georgia, where he sought after, found, and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He then went on to work as a Construction Inspector there in Savannah. This skill set, among others, led Terence to a life of entrepreneurship in establishing Scott T43, a black- owned demolition and restoration company.Terence is preceded in death by his parents, Harrison Lofton Jr. and Mattie (Dillard) Lofton, and siblings Jonathan L. Lofton, Libby F. Lofton, Leslie A. Lofton, Charles A. Lofton, and Harrison Lofton IlI.He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved children Terence Scott Lofton II, TaiNisha Lofton, and Zach Lofton; his grandchildren James Greene, Serenity Castle, Luca Scott Lofton, and Landon Scott Lofton; his siblings Francenia (Greg) Noble, LaNese Powell, Reginald Lofton, Nathaniel (Patricia) Lofton, Lesia Williams, and Lynda Lofton; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends.Romans 15:5-7May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, So that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
