Terri Lee Mcmurray

Terri L. McMurray (Russell) was born on October 30, 1959 to Luther Lee and Mary Helen Russell in Columbus, Ohio. She was one of four children. She graduated from Marion Franklin High School and attended Columbus Community College.

Terri had a stellar 27-year career at Columbia Gas Company. Starting out in Customer Service, she rose through the ranks to become a Project Manager over customer analytics. While at Columbia Gas, she launched a new career phase by earning her real estate license from the State of Ohio. Upon departing from Columbia Gas, Terri embarked upon a career as a real estate agent, dedicating many years of service to Vision Realty. Known for her unwavering commitment to assisting families in achieving affordable homeownership, Terri remained devoted to delivering exceptional care to her clients,
even amidst her illness, ensuring they secured the homes they always dreamed of.

In the late nineties, Terri became an active member of First Church of God (FCOG), where she developed an unshakeable faith under the guidance of “her” Pastor, Bishop Timothy J. Clarke. Following the church’s relocation to 3480 Refugee Road, Terri found her calling in becoming a member of the media ministry. She took great pride in presenting FCOG’s ministries with professionalism and excellence. Serving in the capacity brought Terri immense fulfillment. She cherished her time in the media ministry, forming lasting friendships and treasuring those relationships within the FCOG community.

Terri’s remarkable perseverance and resilience in tackling life’s challenges never ceased to inspire those around her. Her family held an unparalleled importance in her life, with her children and grandchildren being her greatest treasures. They fueled her determination to conquer life’s obstacles. Terri fiercely loved and protected her family
and friends, considering her children, Skylor, Blair, and her grandchildren, as her most significant achievements and the joys of her life.

Terri L. McMurray went Home to be with her Lord on May 2, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marianne Russell.

Terri leaves behind to celebrate her life and legacy, daughter, Skylor McMurray; son, Blair McMurray; brother, Timothy
(Candace) Russell; sister, Dorothea Jenkins; grandsons, Ronald Sutherland, III and Jonah Carter; and granddaughter, Dallas Warren; best friend, Tina Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

The family wishes to thank Bishop Timothy J. Clarke, Senior Pastor of First Church of God and her entire Church family for the prayers, encouragement, and gifts given during this time. Also, our deepest appreciation goes to Dr. David M. O’Malley, MD; Courtney R. Arn, APRN-CNP; and the entire MICU team of professionals at the OSU James Hospital. And, finally, our love and thanks to extended family and friends who have consistently prayed and encouraged us throughout this season.
