Thurman Elliott

Thurman W. Elliott Sr. was born on February 27, 1941 in Ater, Pennsylvania. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior. Thurman was an honorable member and Head Deacon at Greater New Hope Deliverance Center, under the leadership of Dr. Bishop J.S. Kerby Sr. in Columbus, Ohio over 14 years. He was an active mentor in the church until his health began to fail him. Deacon Thurman Elliott was one of the original members of the church organizing committee in 2008.

Thurman retired as a security officer for the State of Ohio, which he loved. He enjoyed solving cross word puzzles, cooking, doing word searches, coloring pictures on his smart cell phone, fishing, reading his Bible, singing on the Praise Team, and listening to gospel music. Thurman was an active member of the Baptist Alliance and the Laymans. Most of all Thurman loved spending quality time talking on the phone with his sister Ida, and family. Thurman was extremely close with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many close friends of many years.
