Timeka Henderson

Timeka Danielle “Heavy Duty” “Jabber” ” Little big sis” Henderson was born November 18, 1967 to Jacqueline Jenkins-Henderson and Robert Briggin in Dayton, Ohio. God gave Timeka her wings on August 15,2017.

Timeka graduated from Whetstone High School. She was the first born of five, and the first to go with the angels.

We will always remember her being herself at all times. She had no filter on the words that came out of her mouth. Her favorite sayings were “Hold these”, “It’s on the tape”, “Cover yourself up”, and “My throat is dry”. Those that were close to her knew the meaning of those words.

Timeka touched many of people during her time here. We shared with her, she made us laugh all the time, and always stood up no matter where she was. She was a collector of everything from Barbie and Ken dolls, which she made clothes for, to her nieces and nephews first bottles and shoes.

We knew when she was pulling up to the house. All you heard was “2pac” bumping down the street. That’s all she would play in her car. The water company loved her for the water bills that had to be paid. She was the only one I knew that took 10 showers a day and made everyone wash their hands before touching anything in her house. If that’s not OCD to the extreme then I don’t know what is.

Timeka is preceded in death by her great grandmother, Clara Moss; grandparents, Gertrude and Amos Henderson;and aunt, Cynthia Perry.

Timeka is survived by mother, Jacqueline Jenkins-Henderson; father, Robert Briggins; son, Carlton Wesley Jr; long time companion of 21 years, Willie King; sister, Lolita (Brian) Jenkins-Miles; brothers, Sebastian (Letisha) Jenkins, Fredrick Jenkins, and LaScott Jenkins; special nephew ,Kemaje Jenkins-Bryant; aunts, Melinda (Faye) Arrington and Thelma Briggins; uncles, Nepoleon Henderson, Dwight Henderson, and Timothy Perry; god children, Jona Johnson and Asha Wagner; special friends ,Jill Wooten, Doris Simmons, Sherri Howard, Lynn Hagwood, and the late Sherri Hines, Carlton Wesley Sr., Willie King Sr., and a host of other family and friends.

She will truly be missed by many. Gone but Never ever forgotten.
