Tina Long

August 8, 1971 — March 7, 2025

Tina Renee Long age 53, born August 8, 1971, went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2025 at Mt Carmel East Hospital surrounded by her family.

Tina was member of Destination Life Ministries, Pastor Steve T Craft, Early in life she attended and was a member of Upper Room Church of GOD under the Late Pastor Marion Wooden and as an adult she joined Independent COGIC under the late Pastor Willie L Williams, Sr. Tina loved singing in the choir and she would invite all her friends and bring the youth she worked with to Church. Tina attended The Columbus Public School System and Whetstone High School. She was Formerly employed at MT Carmel Behavioral Health, Heinzerling Foundation, St. Vincent Family Center and YWCA Family Center, she loved all her jobs working with young people and the mentally challenged.

Tina affectionately known as “Teensie” was named by her Uncle Wendell Gilliam. She loved spending time with all her children, grandchildren, and family at gatherings. She was very proud of all of her children’s accomplishments; how well they take care of their children, their successes in life and everything they’ve accomplished! She loved to support her grands; she was so excited when Serenity was speaking Spanish and teaching all of us the Language. Braylen playing basketball and his football championship games. She would attend Chavonne’s Special Olympics Basketball and Tennis Championships Games just to name a few! Tina also had special relationships with each of her nieces and nephews.


She met no strangers and would always give and help those in need; whether it was a place to stay, clothes to wear or food to eat, she cared and had love for all people. Tina loved animals too; At one time she had gerbels, two dogs, a cat, a Fish Tank with Sharks basically a mini Zoo! lol… Some of Her favorite things to do; going to the movies, watching a good Lifetime Movie, listening to music, going swimming and riding all the rides at The Ohio State Fair & Kings Island and especially roller coasters on land or at Sea. She loved going to the Casino & Cruising with her Bestie Tracey Woods one of there last 7 cruises together was just 3 months ago they spent a day in Long Beach, California then went on a 15 days Hawaii Cruise! Tina was Loved!!!

Preceded in death by daughter Tanisha “Tee” Long, Mother Joyce A Carter, Father Julius A. Ghee Sr,, grandparents Ralph(Delphine) Gilliam and Calvin(Mary) Royal Sr.

Survived to cherish her memory devoted daughters Kevonna Burnette(R. J. Holland), Johnetta Williams (Toneisha Hunter), son KeJuan(Tish) Long, Step-Mother Dianne Ghee-Hassan, 11 grandchildren Serenity, Faith, and Just’Us, Braylen and Noelle,

Lil KeJuan and Kevon, KeChan, KeNaje, Ke’Morrah and Ka’Owah Long. Sisters Yvonne(Chad) Obey, Vanetta Long(Toney Madison) Brothers DeLayne Copeland, Julius Ghee Jr., Nephews Perry Long, Dominic Hodge, Marquis Long and Donovan Brown, Nieces Marlysa Long, Chavonne Davis, Marshauna Long and Jessica Ghee. Aunts Linda Gilliam, Carla (Calvin) Williams, Uncles Terrell & Wendell Gilliam, Calvin Royal Jr., Cousins Wesley (Nina) and Kevin Gilliam. GOD-siblings twins Stephanie & Steven Cordell. Best Friend of 14+ years Tracey Woods. GOD-children Marquis Langford and Di’Oni Durr. Special Cousins Timothy Craft, Curtis Mills, Toneika Mills and Jonathon Wilson, Tammy and Teresa Hollingsworth Daughters of Love Brianna, JaQuel Caslin & JaQuetta Durham and a host of other family, friends and coworkers.
