Trichitia "Kita" Bean

June 5, 1952 — June 23, 2024

Trichitia was born on June 5, 1952 to Charles and Ruth Ann Bean in Gary, West Virginia. Although Kita had no children of her own, she became “mom” or “Aunt Kita” to everyone she’d meet. Her favorite saying was “You know I’m an angel, right?” Some of her favorite past times, Kita enjoyed taking and collecting pictures of family and friends, keeping up with everyone on Facebook and she loved posting birthday shoutouts to everyone she knew and watching “The Young and the Restless”. In her earlier days, Kita enjoyed skating on the weekends at the old skating rink off 18th and Main St.

Kita graduated from Linden McKinley High School and played trumpet in the high school band. She retired from Borden after 30 years of service. Prior to her employment with Borden’s, she worked at a bank with the initials “FBI” and was a part of the company’s softball team. She used to get a kick out of wearing her company team’s t-shirt with the FBI logo, because people thought she actually worked for the FBI.

Kita received the Holy Ghost as a teenager at the Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith when the church was located at 476 S. Washington and Donaldson Avenue. She was active in all of the teen programs, including the teenage choir under the direction of LaBaugh Stansberry, traveling around the State of Ohio with then teen advisor, Sis. Bulah Coleson.

Kita departed this life and into her Saviors arms on Sunday, June 23, 2024. She leaves to cherish her memory, sister, Marquentia Laughlin; brother, Charles Bean Jr.; the apple of her eye, and special son, Kelvin Wilson Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She is preceded in death by our loving parents, Charles Sr., and Ruth Anne Bean; sister, Jacquelyn Tinker; brothers-in-love, Robert Laughlin and John Tinker Sr. She will be deeply missed.
