Vikki was a woman of deep faith, unwavering love, and selfless service to her family, community, and church. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, dedication, and spirit of giving.
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Vikki recently celebrated her 80th birthday, a milestone filled with love, joy, and cherished memories with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James W. Wilson Sr. and Carrie Lucille Wilson, brother-in-law Jimmie Davis, her beloved son Earl D. Wilson, and grandson Jamayne Manley. Though she has left this earthly realm, her legacy of love and service continues through those who cherish her memory.
Vikki will be cherished in memory by, James W. (Beverly) Wilson, Delores Jeanne Davis, and Kevin C. Wilson, and her children, Cynthia (Aaron) Lampkins, Jamea Rash, and Erica (André) Lampkins. She was a cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, leaving behind a lineage filled with love. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends, including Tracey West and Sharon North, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
For over three decades, Vikki was a dedicated member of Higher Ground Always Abounding Church, where she served as an ordained elder, a devoted member of the altar ministry, and a children's Bible study teacher. Her faith guided her work, and she extended her ministry beyond the church walls, supporting the prison ministry through fundraising efforts.
Vikki also served her community as a COTA bus driver and gave countless hours of her time to volunteer work. She dedicated over 4,000 hours to assisting senior citizens in nursing homes and was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award from former President Barack Obama for her extraordinary commitment to service.
