Virginia Morgan

Evangelist Virginia Sue Morgan was born in Charleston, West Virginia on June 4, 1936. She departed this life on November 29, 2018 at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio.

Evangelist Morgan was a graduate of Central High School, and graduated from Columbus State in 1977 in Columbus Ohio.

She joined Liberty Hill Baptist Church when she married her husband, James Morgan. She was a loyal and faithful member for almost 40 years, serving on the Missionary Board.

Evangelist Morgan will be remembered as a loving, wonderful, tough, hardworking and smart mother. She enjoyed crafts, painting, quilting, gardening and volunteering.

She is predeceased by her husband, James P. Morgan; mother, Lousise Taylor; father, Willie Davis; grandmother, Virgil Raymond Wise; grandfather, Clifton Wise; uncle, Leo Raymond; brothers-in-law, James Paschal and Walter Carreker; and niece, Ruth Ann Davis.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Kevin, Keith and Kent Morgan; brothers, Leo and Kenny Davis; former sister-in-law, Linda Davis; sister-in- law, Annie Carreker; good friends, Alice Turner, Ida Evans and Jackie Hodge; hospice aide, Naoka Polk; social worker, Jenny Stone; chaplain, Bernard Cason; as well as many nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation 11am and Funeral 12pm Monday, December 9, 2018 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST 5456 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus, OH 43232

Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery
