Wanda Marie Scott Moore was born on July 8, 1949 in Bluefield, West Virginia to Daniel and Clara Hurt Moore. She went Home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2013. She was the oldest of six children and seriously loved and cared for all of her family members. Wanda loved to sing, fish, bowl and usher. She graduated from East High School in 1966. Wanda was the proud mother of three children, Alisa (deceased), Yolanda and Nathaniel.
Wanda gave her life to Christ and was baptized at five years old at East Graham Christian Center in Bluefield, West Virginia. She rededicated her life to Christ and was later baptized at Mt. Ararat Freedom Gospel Church where she served as a youth minister and faithful member of the gospel choir. Wanda was ordained into the ministry at Trevitt Life Ministries. Wanda sang with the Peaceful Soul Gospel Singers and the Melody Gospel Singers. She was also a member of Queen Esther Eastern Star, Chapter 260. Wanda was last employed as a CDC bus driver. She was a former member of the Columbus Flames Motorcycle Club, Inc.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Clara Moore, daughter, Alisa Marie Moore, sister Carolyn D. Moore, brother David E. Moore, and nephews Charles, Curtis, Tony and Leroy.
She leaves to cherish her memory, children Yolanda Monae Moore, and Nathaniel Maurice Moore, sister Rosa L. Freeman, brothers Robert D. E. Moore Jr., and Michael L. Moore, grandchildren Marshawn, Nathan Jamar, Dwight, Dwayne, Nathan Deshawn, Marcus and Harmony, two great grandchildren Ms. Toni and Eve Nicole, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, cousins and friends including special friends Mrs. Christine Thomas, Pastor Joyce Jackson, Mary Hamilton, and Francine Wilson.
