William C. Whitted Sr.

William was born on December 24, 1945. He went Home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 11, 2014.

He was a loving husband, dedicated father, Army Veteran and retired educator. William graduated from Crestwood High School in Norfolk, VA and received a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Norfolk State University. Mr. Whitted was a dedicated teacher at both Mohawk Jr. High School and Walnut Ridge High School. He was committed to making learning fun and exciting. There was never a dull moment for any student in his classes.

William is preceded in death by his father William C. Whitted Sr., mother Helen Whitted and brother Michael Whitted. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon Whitted, a son William Whitted III, two stepchildren Leonard Bowers and Sharon (Rodney) Culver, sisters Nancy Whitted Peabody and Maria P, half sister Garline Everett and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

We thank God that Bill had a good life, lived a good life, was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend. He never left doubt about his feelings for those he loved, and that is a wonderful gift.
