William H. Wilson Sr.

William H. Wilson Sr. sunrise: June 9, 1939, sunset: August 21, 2023, at the age of 84, in Columbus, Ohio.In his early years, William proudly served as a paratrooper in the United States Army. After serving his country for several years, he came home and was an employee of the Columbus City School system in various roles.

William was preceded in death by his mother, Eliza Jane (Wilson) Benton, his father Ralph Wilson, Stepfather, Charles O. Benton, brothers Charles Wilson, Archie Wilson, and sister Barbara Ann Angel.

William is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Wilson; sons, William H. Wilson Jr., and Stephen (Gracie) Milner. He blessed the world with a legacy of grandchildren: Talija, Pasche, Kiana, Mia, Stevie, Jimmica (Tarshaun) Wilson-Drake, Ryan (Britney)Bryson, Elon, Imaani, and Imaan, Sky, Serenity, Julias, Samuel, Steven, Somaya. sister Jean Mozelle (Wilson) Graham, brothers George H. Wilson and Harvey Wilson as well as a wide circle of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
