Yvetta Lynn Alexander

Yvetta “Lynn” Alexander, was birthed into this Realm by Eileen (Holt) Bays, on September 12, 1959. Lynn stepped out of this Realm, November 14, 2022.

Lynn was preceded in death, by Minnie Lewis, the aunt that helped raise her. Grandparents John Alexander, Grandmother Violdine Patterson, Step-Grandfather Melvin Patterson, Uncle Jerome “Jerry” Bannister and Niece India Holt. Lynn was Born in Columbus Ohio and was educated through the Columbus School System.

Lynn, graduated from West High School, before leaving to attend, Urbana College in Illinois. While there Lynn enjoyed many sports, but she excelled in playing basketball. After College, Lynn served a short time in the Military Reserves, before pursuing a career with Columbus Gas and Electric Company.

Lynn remained there many years until her retirement. Lynn was a dedicated and faithful member of All Nations Church, under the leadership of Bishop Brian Keith Williams. She remained a dedicated and faithful member under the new leadership of Pastor Brian M. Williams, Hope City House of Prayer, there Lynn shared her gifts of poetry, spoken word and photography, gifts she shared willingly with many, throughout her lifetime.

In her absence she leaves to cherish her precious memories. Her loving Mother Eileen Bays, Her sisters, Cheryl Flowers and Deanna Holt, Her brother Tony Holt, Her Aunts Gail Curry and Elder Karen Hobbs (Augusta Ga), Uncles Melvin Patterson who she shared a special bond. Especially when it came to sports, John Curtis Alexander (Lois), Thaddues Patterson, Cousins Lisa Byrd and Paul Patterson, Nieces Michelle Davis (Gregory), Tasha Gay (Rande), Erica Lesh (Justin).

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:30 AM Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Hope City House Prayer, 3330 El Paso Dr. 43204.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
